I didn't Pass Inspection Because Of My Rear Side Marker Light
The backlight on the side.. the small little light was out so I failed inspection. Could this be because the bulb is dead? Or a fuse?
How would I go about replacing it if its the bulb? Seems like it would be hard to get to. |
If you're referring to your taillight where it lights up on the side, then yes, it is just a bulb.
Easy to replace. Just remove the plastic trim above your trunk latch. It pops right off. Then partially remove some of the trunk liner. Should be like 3 push clips. The taillight is held on by 3 nuts. Remove those, disconnect the plug, and slide the taillight out. |

There's nothing to mess up unless you drop your tail light on the ground lol. Just do it and you'll see how easy it is.

I have to replace one of mine as well, I never looked into it, but I thought it was an LED as well? (not arguing, it will be easier to replace if it's just a bulb).

No, it is just a bulb. I had to replace one in mine last month.

Some of our new members scare me with their lack of knowledge and inabilities, reminds me of the joke "How many Pollocks does it take to change a light bulb?" "One to hold the bulb and four to turn the stool!" :OHBOY:

Gary Actually had a friend not long ago pay $120-$130, I believe, to change the headlight bulb on his Dodge Caliber. edit: And for the record, I actually like doing as much as I can, makes you feel accomplished :) |
