DIY: G35 Coupe Taillight Removal

hey everyone

I figured since I just got my 06 JDM Taillights today, why not make a DIY.!

First, Open Your Trunk

2nd, Pull on both sides of the middle black piece until the tabs come out.Pull slowly b/c the tabs can break if pulled off really hard.

3rd, Your Trunk should look like this(sry for the wierd camera angle lol)

4th, There are 2 screws on the left side of the tail light, takes those two off

5th, theres 1 more screw you need to take out almost right behind the reverse light bulb. take that out

6th, Unclick the harness by just pushing in that middle tab and remove

7th, After the taillight harness is removed it should look like this

8th, Remove your taillight ,it should look like this

9th, Get your Brand new 06 JDM Taillight and get ready to install it

10th, Install it the same way you take out the taillight.Screw all 3 screws back in and then plug only the 1 harness and not the Trunk Release button.(i have a 04 G35 Coupe so theres no TRUNK RELEASE harness to plug that it)

11th, Heres a pic of my 06 JDM Taillight(LEFT) and my 04 OEM Taillight(Right)

At last Enjoy the Sexiness of the 06 JDM Taillights

I hope I some what helped you outDOMO

Wow, finally someone made a taillight DIY!

Taillights are easy, I know, but it's great that there's one you can go by just in case..great job!

And good choice in taillights too, I'll be ordering mine soon for my LR

nice, i like how the lights are a bit darker, is it because its the jdm version? or will the 06-07 tails usdm ones be dark as well?

i see, from looking at your pictures, do the signal areas appear red like the rest of the light and only flash orange when on? or are the actually orange from the oustide as well?
