oil burning smell at start-up
Hey guys,
I just got my car back from the dealership.
I found oil on my spark plugs so I had the valve covers and spark plugs replaced.
I started my car and I could smell oil burning.
Has anyone else had the smell of burning oil at start-up that was found to be a serious underlying problem?
It could have just been some oil that leaked from the old o-rings.
I'll update whether the smell continues or if it was just a one time event after having those parts replaced.
I'm just a little worried because I was planning on getting my smog check today!

You shouldn't have a problem, when they change your valve cover gaskets it's impossible to keep oil off your exhaust manifolds....that's what you're smelling. Get'er smogged that smell will go away in a few days.
