Has your air bag light been flashing?

Take it to the dealership - it is most likely a culprit of the side air bags. Yes, the same ones that were issued the recall.

My G35 was taken to and left at the dealer's earlier this afternoon for a diagnosis on an air bag light that had been on for two weeks - it turns off when resetted, but inevitably begins flashing after a day or two.

According to my service advisor, Infiniti realized the recall issued last year didn't completely fix the problem with the side air bags; the entire module needs to be replaced. These repairs have been free of charge under their Goodwill program, so the diagnostic fee was waived and I was stuck in a nice 2011 G25 (great gas mileage and is more than enough for city driving if you're wondering) for the day as my G got new side airbags - I was dreading the worse SRS issue (such as harness replacement) on top of the additional $150, but became very happy when I found out it was free.

So if you've been hesitant to look into what your flashing air bag light means, take it to the dealer - it probably means good news.

That is exactly what pops into my mind also. Got a nice 2011 G25 Journey w/ the moonroof package.

Anyone else have success with this at the dealership? My airbag light is flashing as well and I need to get my car inspected. Is there a TSB or recall on this?

If you're handy you could try diagnosing this issue by yourself here on InfinitiHelp, but I had no luck with it when I tried it myself - all it did was reset the airbag light and cause it to trip again a day later. If you are successful: if the code you pull has anything to do with a side air bag module or sensor then I'd say you're good to go.

The recall was issued last year and technically involved relocating the SRS sensor, not replacing/repairing the module itself. Like I said, it seems the relocation of the sensor hasn't resolved the issue and thus Infiniti is paying to have the entire module replaced.

had the flashing icon show up. took it to the dealer and they "fixed" it under my extended warranty. now, after about 2 months, the light goes off again. ugh. taking it to the dealer AGAIN tomorrow morning. they better get this **** right bc my extended warranty ends in about 2500 miles!!
