ichiba v2 spacers crush ring mod?
ichiba v2 spacers crush ring mod?
i found a DIY crush ring mod on here and it was from 2009, and i was just wondering if that still needed to be done or not? didn't know if the manufacturer addressed the problem or not.
i'm doing it on a coupe with 19" rays.

is why i thought i needed them. they put them in under the hubcentric ring to stop vibrations.
i didn't really read anywhere that i needed them, but then i found that thread and started to wonder.
and they aren't built in. they are a 2 piece spacer.

Ah, I was thinking of my HR spacers when I said built-in. I don't have any experience with the Ichiba spacers..
As far as the HRs are concerned, I have never experienced vibrations as a result of having them on, but after reading the DIY you linked, I can see why Ichiba spacers would have that problem. I don't know if this problem occurs with everyone with Ichibas, but I suppose you can do that mod as a preemptive measure. It doesn't hurt anything and it doesn't take much time or money so why not? I guess people with Ichibas would need to chime in..
