Cluster Swap 03 MT

i'm trying to get a new cluster so i can do some custom led's and etc.

i have 2 q's

will an A/T cluster work in a M/T?

How do i set the ODO on the cluster to match my current readings?

A MT and AT clusters are different. To get the mileage on the cluster changed you will need to go an electronics shop and they should be able to do it.

False. ODO readings are encoded into each odometer's ECU and they cannot be reset or altered.

For Lexus, I know you can order an odometer with the specified reading from Toyota if you pay a pretty penny.

I'm not sure about Infiniti. OP your best bet is to find an odometer with the exact reading (which is next to impossible) or find an odometer that's closest to the mileage you have now and do addition/subtraction to figure out the actual mileage.

Wrong. It can be programmed/hacked with the right tools. Any digital odo can be.

I have a family member that works for Nissan as a Service Lane Manager. In order for a new odo to be programmed it must be sent to Nissan and a crapload of paperwork needs to be completed. It can be done, but it is expensive.

I seriously doubt an electronics shop would have the tool necessary for this. It is a very expensive tool, but they are made.

Yeah, point is that the tools are there. Someone could make a killing owning one of these and rolling back digital odometers. That site is just one of many.

Someone could also spend many years in prison for rolling back odometers.
