Apparently TX likes to rape new residents.... wife just registered her car, came to $200+ with inspection. Vanity plates = $495 a year... WTF We still have to get our TX drivers license.... = more money

WI was $90 with vanity plates

I'm looking to buy a 04 g coupe 6mt next week and I have to pay 1230 dollars for initial registration in CT. My wife has a 02 accord and pays like 150 a year for that so I can't wait to see what this is gonna cost me.
When u register a car in CT now you don't pay sales tax on what you paid but the book value and these a holes came up with a book value of like 17.5 smh

Why let that stop you? All my family are still in California too. Just because they choose to flush away money doesn't mean I have to as well. Unless you are a Native American, if everyone didn't want to move because of their family, then none of us would be living in this country.
