Unhappy Coupe seat wont go forward

Hey guys I was with some of my friends today and one of them was trying to get in the backseat but the lever that you pull up would not allow the seat to go forward. So I tryed and sure enough the seat would not move forward. ANY HELP?

I believe you hit the black button first, then pull the lever if I'm correct. This way, the seat will move forward, and then you would fold the seat back and it would go back to the same position as before. I might be wrong though. I don't have my 05 G yet =). But remember someone posting something about this.

does it not move at all even when you use the forward/backward switch? or, are you talking about it not returning back when you put the seat back to the normal position? if it doe not move at all anymore, a screw on the door panel where the door sensor may have fallen out. for some reason (perhaps grounding), if taken out, it will immobilize the seat. when i had my windows tinted, the installer forgot to put the screw back in and my passenger seat didn't move anymore either. i called him and he told me about the screw. after i put it back in, it worked again.

nevermind you guys. i figured it out. im an ideot. i was so paranoid about breaking the lever on the side of the chair, i didnt pull up hard enough. therefore the chair would not pop forward. so i showed my dad and he pulled up on that thing kinda hard and it went.

THANX for the info guys.
