is this ok?

i smelled plastic burning smell coming from the car. so i pulled over and checked and found that i had ran over this big plastic bag. it was under my car where the piping is. and the plastic bag melted due to hot pipes. i got the plastic out but the burnt plastic (gunk) is still there and i can't remove it. is this ok if i leave it like that? and how can i remove it? everytime i drive now, i smell plastic burning.

Wait until it dries and hardens and scrape it off. Or you could scrape it off while it's hot and gooey.

i tried to scrape it off, but it's too hard. and i don't want to use a flathead screw driver or anything like that to hurt my G. are there any liquid solution that will work to remove it?

Every time that happened to me, I had to wait for it to burn off by itself... Took about a month

If you can get ahold of acetone, apply that to the plastic and it will melt.

I'd say just leave it. What happens if some dogsh*t splashes up on the exhaust? Are you going to scrap that off too? I smells worse when it burns than plastic does.

won't harm anything. just let it burn off on it's own.
