Installed Akebono BBK

Now my pedal feel is terrible. I'm not sure how to explain it but when I press on the pedal I have to go almost all the way before I even start stopping. My mechanic says it's because of the master cylinder is too small. Any thoughts?

A buddy of mine is having this same issue with his brembos.

It is possible that your brakes weren't bled properly or there is still air somewhere trapped in your system.

^ +1... Bleed the brakes. Definety sounds like you have air in your brake system. Also, if you installed brake lines/hoses, double check your work and check for any leaks.

Get a powerbleeder. Motive is great. ~60 bucks.

I would be leery of a mechanic who recommends a larger master cylinder is needed. In actuality, the system probably just needs to be bled properly.

Cars very dirty right now. It's metallic black calipers with silver lettering. I might re-do them to candy apple read and black lettering next year.
