overheating-SOS

deal all,

need all expert advise here, was crusing at highway abt 1 hour at average speed of 120kmt. the car went overheat when stop at red lights,or jam whenever it slows down.
was trying to identify this problem all piping, water pump intact works well.
the spare water pump was so hot and water burst out from the upper hole.
could it be engine problem?something stuck inside the engine?

appreciated.

Spare water pump? You cant see the water pumps on our cars because it is behind the timing cover. Might have an air bubble in the system.

I'm guessing he's talking about the rad or overflow tank?? It's pressurized so that's why it's "so hot and water burst out from the upper hole".

Sounds like the thermostat to me.
