hey guys so im looking for a replacement motor for my 04 g coupe and have a few questions...
1)does the engine have to come from a coupe or can it come from a sedan? are there differences?
2)what about a 350z motor? would that bolt right up?
3)whats the difference between the years? would a revup motor not be a straight forward swap?
4)i have only been able to get a quote from one shop so far quoted me at 1300...is that fair? seems ok to me but what do i know. also had a random kid tell me he would do it for 1000 but why not just spend the extra 300 for warranteed work right?

any input would be much appreciated as i keep searching for engines however every site i look at gives me options between coupe and sedan but seperately between rwd and awd. sorry for sounding like such a retard

It would be nice to know what year your G35 is.
Also if it's a Auto or 6MT.

The revup and non-revup engines have different ECU's. Have a professional do the work.

Why don't you go with a rb26 or an Ls motor?
