I hear a weird noise when I shut the engine off, I only hear it as the engine is dying. I uploaded a clip of the noise, any ideas?

I'm not really sure, haha... I noticed it once the other day, then saw this.

 

What noise are you talking about is it the pop or right before that when you turn off the car. Try holding in the clutch when you turn off your car and it should be a lot quieter. You might be hearing the flywheel and clutch when you shut it off.

 

^ Yup, hold in the clutch when you're shutting off the car, that rattle will go away.

 

My car has 13k miles, does not make that noise. 2006 6mt.

 

mine has 36k and makes that noise. my buddy's has 58k and is auto and does NOT make that noise. so i would say that it's the clutch thing. good thread and helpful audio clip.
