When I got my G it had a little less than 10 miles on it (that was about a week ago. so that means I put 790 miles on her in one week. WOW!). When I looked at the odometer last night I had just over 800 miles on the car. I have taken it red line once (when I first got it) but not since. I will admit to taking it a little above 5000 rpms a few times (between 7-10 times since I had her). I picked up one of my fathers bad habits of ******* cars but I want to try avoiding doing the same to my G. Am I hurting her or should I be okay? Are there any repercussions that I might encounter driving her the way that I am?

I think you need to slow down a bit, until you pass the 1200 miles. I haven't reved it up that high and I'm dying to. Atleast you've gone there.

its fine dont worry about it. some poeple do the break in others dont, both are fine. if my G was a lease i definitly wouldnt do the break in.

 

well if u dont belive in break then u have done nothing worng
but if u do like me then u have broken like every single rule about break in in the book. You are suppost to go on short trips and vary RMPs. Never take it over 4grand RPMs. and never go over 100mph. I dont think it should couse any real problems the car is pritty solid but i would maybe back off a bit atleast till you have 1000 miles.
