2006 G35 and 350z 6mt

So i have been looking for another g35 and made a choice to find one that has 6M/T. I currently have a A/T 2004 coupe for about 3 years. Today i went to look at a 2006 g35 coupe 6mt and have a few questions about the manual transmission...
1. when i turned it on and let go of the clutch petal i heard the clutch click (is that normal at idle?)
2. the shift **** vibrated at idle (is that normal?) i looked at a 2006 350z 6mt that was next to it and it did the same but a little less

sorry for the questions its just the first time I've considered buying a manual.

thanks
-luis.

Yup. I've driven about 5 different 2006/07 coupe's and they all vibrate.

My 06 has nice feedback in the stick as well as a click in the clutch.

My 04 vibrates too and I thought something was wrong when I first drove it. What does the clicking sound like? If it's a small click, I think something is just loose because sometimes my clutch squeaks quietly when I release it.

Btw, props to you for staying with a G and getting a 6m/t too!

I just recently bought a 2007 G35 6MT coupe (I had a 2006 5AT) and the ride is going to be a little rough, esspecially in the lower gears. Not trying to discourage you but make sure you get a good test drive and you're comfortable with the ride. I'm sure that I will get negative feedback on this post but I am certain that I am not the only one that feels this way.

Gotta be frustrating for 350Z owners... buying a sports car with a Jeep transmission

Not at all. You are correct, this is not an easy car to drive smoothly. I don't recommend someone learn how to drive a standard in this car, although it can be done. (I recommend a Honda Civic Si) But don't let this discourage you, this is one of the most fun cars to drive that I have ever owned. To me, it's a prefect combination of power, handling, and comfort (now that I have added swaybars, Tokico D-specs, and 19" wheels) and I plan on keeping my 2005 sedan for many more years to come.

You have to be very easy on the gas and your clutch has to be in good condition as well as some skill and luck for a somewhat smooth ride.

There is no doubt that the G is a blast to drive. It's just that the 6mt takes some getting used to. Either way...no regrets...lovin my G!
