Question Oval Tips?

I'm getting ready to make a Y-pipe back exhaust for my car and I'm stuck on what tips to get... Rolled, Angle, Straight, Dual, Oval, 4", 4.5" and so on.

I've seen some G's with the dual(quad) tips and I love the way it looks. I'd really like to do that, I just don't want to have to trim my back bumper. I want something different than the stock 4" round.

I was wondering if anyone had put on some oval tips, and if so, do you have any pictures? I cant seem to find anyone that has oval tips.

Just wondering.

Thanks guys

I think the oval tips would look funny in the round openings of the coupe bumper, but that's just MHO.

Do what you like to the car. Don't seek approval from this forum as you will get both answers. Lots of people have lots of opinions.

uhhhhhhhhh...that's kinda the point of a forum isn't it?

and back to the topic...

well to me, it just doesn't make sense for oval tips if you have the stock bumper. it has round openings. **square peg in a round hole** comes to mind. maybe if you have some weird kinda bumper, then it might work. but most of the aftermarket still has round holes.

i'm all for being different and making your own way, but sometimes it just doesn't make sense to re-invent the wheel.

I think I've seen it once before on a member's. Doesn't really look right IMO.

Tony at MotorDyne has some very cool exhaust tips, I especially like the 4" rolled slant cut. Good Luck with making your own exhaust, companys spend thousands of hours perfecting their systems. Since it's only a y-back you couldn't mess it up to bad....
