Tires bud....Its no secret these Michelin Pilot Sports are def not the quietest wheels on the market...I get a pretty loud drone at about 65 mph that bothers the hell out of me...If I go above 65 or below its gone, but of course 65 the cruising speed and speed limit on most highways is exactly where my drone comes in...So I have a choice, I either speed up and take a chance at a ticket, slow down and watch people go flying by me, or drive 65 turn up the music and cruise at the proper speed limit...I love this car..haha

I don't notice any additional dronning from my tires. The tires are "louder" compared to my Honda Accord, but that's to be expected from low profile 18's.??

When you say droning is that the same thing as grinding like? I just experienced the same thing this morning. When slowing down i hear a grinding-i don't think its the breaks because I just had them checked less than 1 month ago - but I may be wrong. I just changed over to my winter set up /blizzaks...any ideas as to what it is?

From what the Infiniti tech told me, its actual flat spots on the pilots, the thread is not even with the rest of the tire so every time the tire makes a revolution, it hits the pavement differently, so you have a defective tire. I'd suggest calling michelan and seeing if you can perhaps work out a deal with them on getting a replacement set. Their number is in the owner's manual, all the way in the back.
