sooo i found this exhaust..........

i was lookin online and i found this exhaust..its a xo2 version but it comes with headers and test pipes (i guess..replaces the cats) for a really good price...pretty much the price of a reg. xo2.. and the dealer thats sellin it is local so id be able to pick it up..

heres my situation...its either that full exhaust or a magnaflow cat back.. im liking the idea of the magnaflow cause i can put it on myself...and take it off easy if needed.. id be able to put on the xo2 as well but not the headers..headers look like a lot of work to put on.. and i havent heard a xo2 with headers soo im kinda iffy on rasp and drone..id use my stock cats with it to be able to pass smog..

soo its either pay more for a magnaflow and wait for shipping or pay a lot less for a xo2,headers,test pipes and be able to get it same day..

im stuck on what to do.. i need help from the pros!!

thank you

Depends if you want x02 or magnaflow exhaust. Lots of people, myself included, run the x02 exhaust and like it. You don't have to use the headers and test pipes, you can resell them or trash them if you want. But really it just comes down to which exhaust/tone you want, make your decision based on that or you won't be happy in the long run.

ya im leanin more towards the xo2 now..mainly cause the price is much better and i get more with it... is there any noticable HP gains with the exhaust+headers? everything else on the car is completly stock... ill also be gettin the MD plenum and intake soon after i make this exhaust choice..

i gotta hurry up and finish this custom glass order... i dont want to have to bust out the credit card lol (wife would kil me)

You will have some decent gains if you do the full exhaust including header install, add the spacer on top and get a tune and you will be set as far as bolt ons. You may want to look into the magnaflow x-pipe (just do a search) to add onto your exhaust to try to control rasp/drone due to the test pipes and headers.

i was reading the thread about the x pipe with the xo2..u think ill still need it if i use the stock cats? not sure if i want to hassle having to remove the test pipes for smog..but then again i guess i dont got to smog that often..... ill proly end up with the xo2 i like the idea of having a full exhaust without breakin my wallet... and a lot of people in socal always want glass soo i should be able to come by the rest of the mods fairly quickly

Without the cats it will be completely up to your preferences and tolerances. Quite a few people have had just the catback exhaust and couldn't stand the amount of drone and have decided to go with the x-pipe. Others, including myself, have had the exhaust for years without the x-pipe without too many complaints. For reference the x-pipe is on my future mod list, but it just keeps getting edged out by different deals/mods.

I have the x02 catback on my G and love it. Sounds like a totally different car, so deep and aggressive. Theres no rasp for me but I'm not sure with headers. For the price theres no better option.

If you're refering to the Magnflow single exhaust it's no better than OE. With the HKS replica it will sound alright but you don't want those test pipes, that where the drone comes from and you won't be legal....if you care bout such things. Headers are worth less than 5 HP unless you go FI, they're not worth installing due to the cost!

not my taste of exhaust note for this car but still will sound epic...BUT, it will be loud as **** with all those 3 installed... here is a video thats similar to what you would be getting into and you can kinda get an idea of how loud it will be....
....
i would suggest that you get the x02 out of the deal and sell the TP's and headers....unless you want a ear shattering machine

Headers def not worth the install, and test pipes you could easily resell. Id do it since its local and you are interested int he exhaust..
