installing inven roof spoiler highway incident

so i just got my inven roof spoiler painted and i was wondering what the best way to have it stuck on the actual window without it flying off at high speeds ?? 3m tape tried it and its loose anyone else have any ideas i was thinking velcro tape? anyone?

That roof spoiler s/b installed on the roof right on the edge of the glass. Nothing will stick if you didn't clean the area to receive the tape correctly! Velcro isn't an option! Clean off all the old adhesive from both surfaces, install another strip of 3M adhesive to the spoiler. Use rubbing alcohol and clean the area where the tape is going and reinstall the spoiler....it'll stick now!

Yea definitely don't use velcro tape...it would get stolen easily haha

To add to Gary's info, if you buy more 3M tape, make sure it's the industrial strength that can be found at most auto parts stores. The regular double-sided tape isn't strong enough.
