Question Question about Stillen Supercharger.

Im gonna buy the stage 2 just because the stage 3 isnt 'carb' legal. What the heck is CARB anyways? I mean, does it have to do with smog testing? Do you think its worth the extra few hundred to get stage 3?

CARB is California Air Resources Board, and yes, it basically has to do with whether the part is legal for sale in California. As to whether the stage III is worth it, hold on, let me do some quick research . . .

[Edit]
Never mind, stillen's site doesn't say what's different between the two.

Why Can't you just go out and buy the pulley seperately and install and take off the pulley when it's time to get your car smogged? You can also do the same thing if you mess up your engine from the extra power. I talked to a sales man and I was informed that the Stage 3 is just as reliable as the stage 2, but that the warranty company wont warrant the stage 3 supercharger.

Also, I'm getting the installation done at a Nissan Dealership and they told me they would go ahead and order the "Stage 2 Supercharger" and would put in the Stage 3 Pulley. All I would have to do is take the pulley on and off my self. Does anyone know if this is a lot of work?
