Are turbo kits designed for auto trannys?
Don't flame me for this, but..... I spoke with some Technosquare people at JGTC/D1 this past weekend and they are not too happy with people who FI their AT G35/350Zs. I was told the auto tranny throws strange codes into the ECU that mess up the map, and in many cases causes serious problems such as detonation, and throwing rods. I am not an expert on FI, but that is what I was told.
Personally I am shying away from turbo since I've heard my share of stories and people who always say " that's because the owner didn't know what he was doing" I'd go with Vortech or Stillen just to be safe. seems much cheaper and more simple as well. Honestly 350whp vs 400whp probably doesn't make that much of a difference to most people. For all intended purposes, I prefer S/C linear torque over the peaky turbos, even though TT is more fun to drive on sprints.
