Just got Air Ride installed now its hard for car to start up any suggestions?
Went to UAS last week to get by bags installed. Everything works perfectly as far as the bags go but I noticed that every time i go to start the car it seems like there is not enough power to start the car. Sometimes it takes several tries to start the car. I can tell that the battery has juice but the engine isn't starting. There is no clicking sound like when the battery is dead. Its the normal engine start up noise but it takes forever to start. I have to turn the key and hold it for a minimum of 7 seconds before it starts and sometimes longer. Sometimes it doesn't start so i have to take out the key and try again. Eventually it starts but there seems to be something wrong. Any suggestions?? I'm currently running a gold top Duralast battery. The bag setup is an analog kit with 4 paddles and only 1 380cc compressor.
Very odd, I'm going to guess and say it's coincidence, but there is a chance the compressor is robbing some crank power. Do you have it so the compressor kicks every time the car is turned on until hits the pressure switch? Or do you manually turn the compressor on when you need to air up?

The shop told me they are not sure of the problem because UAS installed it themselves and they are really good so I know it's not their fault lol. But the compressor only turns on when the tank needs air so I make sure to always let the tank fill up before i turn off the car

I'd pull the fuse to the compressor and see what happens. Double check over their wiring to see how they got power to the thing.

Im not bagged but I just went thru hell tryna find the problem of not starting on first crank.
if your battery is good. Test it.
Changed fuel pump and still didnt start
changed spark plugs still didnt start
Cleaned Maf sensor and at the same time, Behind your right headlight on the cars frame there are grounds, cleaned them up, and ever since starts every crank like nothing was ever wrong.

true i was just saying Zach does some quality work. Going to replace my battery with an Optima first to see if that helps
Chris.... just go to pep boys so they can do a Free test of the alternator and the battery. From there you can make an educated decision on what needs to get done!
its your choice, but i'd verify that the positive and negative leads on the battery are securely bolted down first. at the very least, take the care to pep boys/autozone/etc to get the battery checked first. that'll be cheaper than dropping 100-150 on a new battery.
