In the Market

I've been in the market for a G35 for quite some time now. I finally found one I like and wanted to get everyone's opinion on it.

03 G35 COUPE, Navigation, Spoiler, Bose CD Changer, Heated Leather, Moonroof, & More! BLACK BEAUTY

It has about 39000 miles and the asking price is $27,995.

I saw the car and it's very clean and drove very well.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for help.

Rims? 18"? KBB is around $30K(retail). Black Book trade in is $27K. Just guidelines though. Miles are high. Use that against them to trim some bones. If your buying, be sure get an extended warranty. Also, from my observation, not many of G coupes are equipped with Navi. Which is good.

fyi: Retail/trade in quotes are based upon info from your message. You left type of trans out.

Your gonna love the navigation!!

I would agree with Kazam on that one. Don't pay $28K. I think that you should be able to trim 2-3K off. I just bought a 2003 Laser Red coupe/graphite interior with navi, 18's, aero and premium pkg. for 23K. It also had high miles (46k), so I'm sure that it wasn't the greatest deal in the history of car buying, but that's what I felt comfortable paying. The condition is pristeen as well (no scratches, and the interior is flawless). If you can find some fault with the condition of the car, you might be able to get more of a deal. I hope you get one though.

The rims are 17". I just love the black/black with the nav and spoiler. I would love to get the car for $24k so we shall see.

Thanks.

I personally think buying a new one is a waste of money...so you guys suggesting the new..have fun driving the new while we have fun with dumb ppl who buy new and sell them under 10k miles..its all money that can go in for mods..
you can save upto 8k off the msrp for a 1 year old low miles, all you have to do is bargain..I am talking 04 navi, 6mt which might be 38k for 30k...and miles no more than 10-12k

just have to look for it..

although I agree with buying a new one, which I did, I also would consider purchasing a used one if I was in a different situation.

like for example:
- I don't feel comfortable paying about 7K more, for a car 2 years younger
- I decide to sell the car within 5 years (you'll lose a lot of money if you bought a new one)

$27K is a good price, but for a 2yo car with 39k miles on it, I wouldn't pay anything over $25K, even if it had all the other options.

just my 2 cents.

Well, I cant afford to buy new. I dont mind used at all. If the car was well taken care and I do end up saving lots of $$$

The problem is I want this car so bad I'll probably end up spending more then I should. I need to stand firm and not let in.

HIT, i was in the exact same position - couldnt afford to buy new. Bottom line for me was the monthly payment...couldnt' swing it on a new coupe

I have nothing to hide, so here we go - I bought my 03 Red 6MT coupe, loaded (premium package, aero/sunroof package, performance package, 18" rims, & navi) with 16003 miles at the end of August for $28850. $3k down @ 5% for 63 months = 468.75/mo. IMO i got a pretty good deal - frankly i was dying for a G35 and it was the only used loaded 6MT in all of omaha

my only complaint is the pilot sports are almost bald...i'm going for some Nitto NT555s in spring
