It's the clearcoat they use on that lexus white pearl, it makes pearl pop more & it is stronger than the clear coat infiniti uses, it's the clear coat they use not manufacture, thanks for bein a smart *** 
and yes different colors cost different prices to mix some have more pearl than others, more pearl=higher cost.

Not trying to be a smartass! I just don't wanna see someone get ripped off by thinking Lambo paint should cost 10 times what Infiniti paint costs just because of the car is 10 times as expensive. From a bodyshop's perspective, the difference in cost among white pearls is minute.
As far as clearcoat, it's my understanding that major manufacturers actually change paint suppliers on a weekly or even daily basis, depending on what's cheaper. I don't know which lines in which brands they utilize though. Any factory techs here?
