haha you know if they were reallllllly good at customer service they would have made the offer (to all those that did go through with the order) For the same Exhaust at the actual price less 20% for the inconvenience

With just saying sorry we messed up and we are canceling the order, they are now getting none of the sales and ZERO income... At least if they offered the 20% off deal, then some of the original $1 buyers may have been enticed to go ahead and purchase the discount priced units. Not to mention it would have showed that they really care about getting new customers and want to keep them happy!

Just a thought... Anyone from revhighonline.com on here reading this???

I too just got the email.. I wonder if they can legally do this? Every site that I've been to has honored their prices, regarldess of mistakes or not.

Ya know, what happened to the days when people/machines were allowed to make mistakes and didn't have to be hassled about it. Nothings perfect but no one can accept that. Instead they take advantage of a situation rather than just accepting the fact that the price was an accident. Of coarse the price was a mistake. How many people honestly think they would sell an item like that for $1? How ridiculous

hahaha even with a 20% discount the exhaust would still be $604... there is a HUGE difference between $1 and $604. I highly doubt they'd actually entice anyone. Not to mention that 20% would probably remove any income they would have made anyway.

It was an honest mistake and I don't think they should have to pay any penalty for it, this stuff happens and it was clearly unintentional. So no harm, no foul in my book. They're still a great operation with very competitive prices.

A lot of companies do that and usually they have a disclaimer somewhere on the webpage saying that they can cancel your order yada yada yada....I tried that many times on Dell's webpage and even on World of Warcraft preorder for only $30!!! All were cancelled.

Oh I didn't say they should HAVE to.. I said if they had good customer service and good marketing people there they would to get new customers! It would show a good faith gesture! Like

"Wow sorry we messed up, to make it up to those of you who were interested in the exhaust, we are going to ...."

I know myself for one would have then been more likely to use them in the future for parts! That's just how I am, if I see a place make a mistake like that and own up to it with some kind of great offer for those that tried to take advantage of the misprint, I feel that they care about their customers and want to keep them, so I for one would become a customer there. I guess by them saying NO you can't have it... They kind of lessened the likely hood of me spending money there.

That's all I was saying!
