Any good dual exhausts?

Re: Any good dual exhausts?
The only true dual thats available at the moment is the Stillen Exhausts. I havent seen anyone with a dyno chart for it for the g(its real new). But i have seen some for the 350z which have seen some real nice gains. You should expect a little bit more of a gain than the 350z's due to the G's more restrictive stock exhaust.

You'll have to call in for the price, but they have it the cheapest.

Re: Any good dual exhausts?
I was talking to the guy who will be working on the Borla exhaust for the 350Z. He said that he doesn't necessarily think a dual exhaust would be best. He will be using my car to develop the G35c exhaust, so we will see what happens. I will keep everyone posted.

Re: Any good dual exhausts?
Borla says you need to buy new headers with the exhaust, but for about $1400 total.......that is a bargain. I will get you guys the site to look it up and hopefully one will be coming out for our coupes. Nizmo is coming out with a Y pipe dual exhaust next month that looks good too! No stats on HP yet or price. Hopefully both of these will be available for our coupe soon!

Re: Any good dual exhausts?
My Stillen dual catback exhaust system should arrive at my mechanics shop on Wednesday, May 7th.
I told the salesman, Andrew, that my mechanic also does my dyno runs. He said "Good, that's what we want, independent tests."
Hopefully we'll get it installed/dynoed either Thursday or Friday.
I'll post the results ASAP.
As an aside, does anyone have an informed opinion about driving my 5AT coupe like a maniac after the install and before the dyno in order to let the ECU get acclimated? If yes, how long? I saw some manufacturer mention that they did this between each install of one of their performance mods and the subsequent dyno run for that mod. I believe they said something like driving it for 10 miles before the dyno. Any thoughts?

Re: Any good dual exhausts?
When you post results, will you also post pics (not imagestation, plz) of the underbody view of how it all looks especially the rear half? That'd really be great to see.
Also, one other thing I saw in a recent comparo of cold air inductions (CAI) was that there are different ways to dyno test: one with the hood up and one which more accurately simulates real world driving conditions, namely, the hood down. Surprisingly, a couple of the CAI manufacturers were upset because their in-house dyno runs were made hood open and the mag did it hood closed. Needless to say, hood closed produced lower horsepower output at the driving wheels.
Good luck and I look forward to your dyno results with or without the pics!
