Unhappy Power seats on '05 G35X

I have an issue with the driver's seat in my 2005 G35X that dates back to the summer. The seat has the two silver "toggle" switches which move the seat forward and back and recline the backrest forward and back. The problem started where I could only move the seat back and not forward. It would make a "clicking" sound when I tried and the left side of the seat seemed to move but the right side would not. And when I say left/right I mean the seat track on the driver's seat. I figured out if I hopped into the back seat and gave it a "nudge" while using the switch it would move forward all the while it continued to make the clicking sound. Eventually that stopped working and the seat has been as far back as it goes ever since. It hasn't been a big issue for me because that's my normal driving position. The problem is I often need to use my wife's truck but she can't reach the pedals in my car so we can no longer swap out.

I removed the entire seat earlier this summer figuring there might be something stuck in the seat track but couldn't find anything. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can check? I'm trying to avoid a trip to the dealer if possible. Like I said the backrest still reclines forward/backward without any issues and the two other seat adjustments work fine as well.

There's got to be something else I can try. Trying to find another seat in the same color with the same wear as the others will be close to impossible. Is there some kind of fuse or motor I could try replacing first?

This thread really needs to be in the sedan section but I'll answer. Sounds like you have a broken gear by the right side motor. this comes up from time to time and the solution is to buy a replacement gear. The dealership doesn't offer them so look here. http://www.odometergears.com/infiniti.html.

Here'a a great post on how to fix it including a link to a DIY. HTH......

I have had the same problem for a while if I play with it quickly it will eventually kick in and work, I've had tried replacing the motor, but it's an option.
