Question Black or White?

Black is my first choice of exterior color for the '05 6MT I'm thinking of getting, while white is my second choice. I've read recently that the paint chips really easily and is very noticeable on black (especially the front end). Is this true and therefore reason enough to go with white?

Thank you.

Pearl white on G35c is amazing. Get it. Unless you love detailing your car to death (me), avoid black.

Is that interior thing new. I 'm pretty sure I've seen the white/ black combo before.

You are absolutely right and paint chips are something to think about if you live up north and have to deal with snow and salt.
I have an Ivory Pearl, but I love the shine and stealth look of a black/black coupe.....the chips however, can be a problem with either color....
It seems on the black the chips show up like little white specs....on the Ivory Pearl, the chips show up as little black specs....either choice you can't lose IMO, as well as any of the other colors available....I would seriously consider a clear bra, that will definitely reduce the chances of messing your front end up......

Ivory pearl is my first choice for sure! Blacks looks mean but too hard to take care and it hides a few lines of the car.

if you don't mind washing your car every week, spending hours trying to get rid of those swirl marks which is almost impossible, go for black... because i believe it is the best color for g IMO. clear bra seems to be a good solution.

I guess I'll give you a little credit since you didn't go with the "deer magnet" comment. Hey, at least you can't see the blood...

If you take care of your car get the black. If you dont care too much the other colors might be for you.

If you never or rarely was your car ge tthe silverish color.
I hate that color, its nice, but way to many people have it.

I would get black, carribean blue, red. I was the TL everyweek, and polish it every 3 weeks. So i am bling bling-ing.

Just to reiterate what other's have mentioned. There is no better look than a just washed, clayed, polished, and waxed black G. It's jaw-dropping. But maintaing a black car is difficult because it takes a huge effort to prevent or remove swirls and it's very costly to prevent rock chips (clear bra). On the bright side, detailing is an addictive hobby and you can really enjoy yourself. It will bring you a sense of pride when you can pull off a showroom shine/professional detail on your own. On the other hand, white is a more difficult color to make pop. It can be done no doubt, but it takes using specific products that enhance light colored paints and IMO pails in comparison to the look of a Souveran applied black G. Swirls are not as obvious on a white car, as previously mentioned. I drive a practically swirl free IP coupe but my two biggest regrets...not getting black or 6MT. Oh well, I'm looking forward to purchasing a car next year (maybe trade in for black 6MT coupe), good chance it will be black.
