New owner 04 G35

Hey people, so I just bought a 2004 G35. Ive always wanted one of these cars but because of family and other reasons I could not get one. Ok so are the drive trains the same as the 350Z (I always liked the G35 better)?
Please tell me if I really messed up on this deal. I paid $9k for this, 57k miles, it has a cold air intake, front and rear antisway bars, slotted rotors, coilovers, aftermarket radiator, carbon fiber hood (not really into CF but its what it came with) and 18x10" rear 18x?" front enkei wheels with really good tires. Its also debadged which im really into and has the rear spoiler.
The catch...salvage title! It was a theft recovery vehicle, was wrecked in the front driver side I bought it as is. It has some warning lights on the dash that Id like to get some help with (slip is always on, VDC OFF always on, and ABS always on). I know "slip" is traction control right? ABS is antilock brake. what is VDC OFF? how do I go about trouble shooting these?
So, please tell me what you think

"VDC off" is Vehicle Dynamic Control, which is basically your traction control system. If you have it on, and you try to do burnout, the VDC system will sense wheelspin, illuminate the "SLIP" light, and then pull power from the rear wheels momentarily until they regain traction. If you have VDC OFF, you can spin the wheels all day and the car won't try to stop you. VDC also incorporates yaw sensors and will try to account for situations where you enter a corner to fast by the system automatically applying the brakes to individual wheels to try to get you out of a drift/skid situation and straighten the car out while cornering.

Check your fuses in both fuseboxes.... there is one in the cabin under the dash on the drivers side along the lefthand panel next to where your legs sit and a second fusebox inside the engine bay attached to the positive battery terminal.

Does everything else in the car work? Stereo system/CD player, Navigation(if so equipped), power seats, and your AC/Heating system and fan, and horn?

Ah ok, thanks for the heads up, I could have easily looked it up but I figured ppl would start giving me pointers here, or telling me how dumb I was for buying a car with a salvage title like my buddies have (unless they jealous)! Yes everything works, (no navi on this).
So theres gotta be a problem with the VDC, Ill have to check for fuses! The car came with no manual .

congrats on the purchase. I would've walked away from a salvaged title but as long as everything works i guess its not that bad. I would get it checked out and protect your front bumper from curbs.

Have you checked if the vdc switch has been pushed in? Sounds dumb but since your new to the car you may not know. Looks good man!

I forgot to mention to check the fluid level in your Brake Fluid reservoir. I think I remember reading a post in the past where if the fluid gets too low, all of those warning lights come on.

So the fender and door ARE two shades. The car was wrecked on the front driver side so the fender and bumper were replaced. It was only cosmetic i checked it out really good. Along the same lines....the car has a salvage title because it was stolen, taken for a joy ride and wrecked. They ripped out the vin numbers so state police issued it a new one with new plate. It runs really good though and good milage at 57k. Ill check the brake fluid. The vdc switch doesnt seem to be stuck.

There are a few reasons why the lights could illuminate. First would be to check the brake fluid and ensure all the wheel sensors are plugged in (if the front drivers side was hit hard enough there might have been suspension components replaced, and if they forgot to plug the sensor back in or something, that could be an issue).

Best way would be to have the code read to figure out exactly what's causing the problem.

Wow! stolen? Anyways, again if you checked it out and everything is fine, you have yourself a good car. Any plans for it or your going to keep it stock?

I actually test drove that car. It was at a small dealership on central huh? I was pretty sketched out on it because the original lady helping me out with the car told me that the reason for the salvage title was just because of a minor colission in the front (which would not result in a salvage title if it was minor) then the manager came out to talk to me about the car and was telling me that the passanger quarter panel was hit in an accident. Car did drive pretty well though. the lights were another sale killer because the manager of the dealership told me "dont worry, ill get them turned off for you" uhhhh thats not what I want, I want whatever the problems are fixed. One of the lights was the airbag light and the upper glove box would not open well without a little force so that definitely turned me away as well. Hope you get everything worked out with the car though and congrats
