Vortech Bypass Valve question

I installed my V3 tuner kit last month, and just realized today that the Bypass valve stays open while at idle. I have connected a line from the bypass valve to a port in the Kinetix SSV manifold, and when I take the line off the bypass closes. I was thinking it might be a spring, but then again the valve closes when I take the vacuum source out. I am also having a problem with getting a boost reading on the boost gauge with running the same vaccum line source out of the intake manifold. Anyone else had this problem with this type of set up? Any advice would be great. Will be calling vortech by Monday to see if the part is defective or if I need to run the vaccum line somewhere else. Would like to get some advice from some of the members here. Many thanks in advance!!!

They bypass valve is supposed to be open at idle, it only fully closes when you go into boost.
