to CF or not to CF... need opinions!

Alright, the coupe heads for the shop in a couple weeks. Getting completely repainted, same color graphite silver, Nismo front w/ CF splitter, Impul sides, and Chargespeed rear w/ CF insert, and a CF OEM style hood. I was thinking about getting a CF OEM style trunk and spoiler, but I cant picture how it will look with that much fiber, and not sure if I should do the trunk and spoiler in CF.

Opinions needed, and if anyone has or knows of pics with a CF trunk AND OEM style spoiler please post em!

It's all personal preference. I like CF on my car. I got a Hood, rear view mirror covers and rear diffusser. Go for it mang.

When you say rear view mirror covers, are you referring to the mirror housing or the mirror base? I would really like an alternative to the fading mirror base. I've kept up with it well, but its still rather annoying. Makes the car look dated

The mirror housing is covered by the CF.. The fading does suck as you mentioned.

2one8 if you want to do the C/F thing right get the trunklid, hood and roof overlay then have them clear coated while having the rest of your coupe painted. I've seen this done where they add silver pearl to the clear so the C/F shows the slightest amount of silver...looks cool!

Get carbon fiber but just paint over it with body color. Save weight, look fresh, happily ever after.

that actually sounds good, might have to talk to the guy painting it about that. My only concern is the fiber overlay. I know 3M is supposed to make some amazing stuff, but how does it stand up to sunlight? Will clear coat stop the fading?

I understand that...^...but it's his ride not ours. If he wants to do C/F at least we can help him do it right. 3M C/F overlays look good and should last for years, maybe longer than you'll own this car. Tint shops often do overlays, check em out!

Lol I'm in the same boat as you. I think it'd look good to have cf on the grille, hood, trunk, diffuser and just put a cf vynl on the roof. Sorta like a sexy cf strip along the car. Lol

I decided for now I'm just going hood and front splitter. I might do the rest down the road but I'm putting the extra $$$ towards exhaust right now.
