Refrigerant Recharge Warranty ..first 12 mo. only

I made a separate thread regarding the alignment warranty just in case someone decides to do a search on it. I searched but didn't find anyone bring this up. Has anyone done the refrigerant recharge through warranty for the first 12 months after their purchase of the G? It's stated in the Infiniti Warranty Information Booklet as follows:

"Refrigerant Recharge Only"
Refrigerant recharge not associated with the repair or replacement of a warranted part is covered only during the first 12 months, regardless of the mileage. (pg. 4)

I might as well just bring it in along with the alignment warranty to get it checked before my 12 months is up.

But if either of these services are found to be correct you get to PAY for the labor to find out nothing was wrong. Not a warranty for a fishing expedition.

The only way to tell if the R134A charge is correct is to vacuum the system down and weigh the charge.......

The only way to check alignment is to measure it.

But since Infiniti pays the dealer during 12 month adjustment period you may get no resistance from dealer.

Good to have a base line brand new alignment and adjusted to perfection just to see what's possible then how much and how often in changes per mile.

Unfortunately a static [sitting still alignment] bares little resemblance to a rolling at 60 mph condition. The tires don't feather sitting still they feather from squirming down the highway due to tread block shape and depth and suspension compliance.

Thanks for the heads up Q45tech! I never thought of it that way, where if it was found to be correct you PAY for the labor to find out nothing was wrong, which makes sense because SOMEONE (customer or Infiniti) needs to pay for checking it. I'll have to make sure with the Infiniti service advisor that it'll be okay to bring it in even if no adjustment for alignment or recharge for refrigerant is needed.

Just say it is not cold anymore....not cold as it "used" to be. It is all subjective and tell them to just recharge it!

There are many things not covered for the 4 yrs, like light bulbs, floor mats, alignment, exterior trim parts, aircond. recharge.... These are all 1 yr. only.
It's worth reading the warranty book. Thanks for the heads-up.
