Work Meisters S1 3P | Real or Fake?

What's up fellas, looking for an expert opinion on if these work wheels are authentic or not. I'm definitely no guro but I know some of you guys are wheel ******....

They aren't in the best condition by any means, with scraps/scratches, etc. and I believe one or two of them are bent. Any idea how much it would cost to fix them? Trying to see if these are worth it, and them being real or not makes a difference of course. He says tire tread left is 30-40%.

Here are the pics:

Someone beat the hell out of those rims. What a shame.

Keep in mind you cannot get rid of that curb rash dude. With these type of rims, you're SOL unfortunately. There's nothing anyone can do due to the high quality and chrome used with the Work Meister's.

Bent as well? I would stay away from this one Wata. How much is he selling them for anyways?

I would hold out on a new, or at least nicer, used set and look in the Market Place here for a good deal.

Good luck!

Thanks! Your wheels sure look shiny. Yeah, definitely beaten up. So I'm assuming you seem to think they are real? Not too concerned with the curb rash, just the bends. These will be my daily/summer/winter wheels so I'm not too worried.

I would get better condition ones but I'm in college and not really looking to spend a lot of my savings on real wheels right now with all the other things I'm going to be paying for. So it's probably either these, my stock wheels on there for now, or some new off brand wheels (Varrstoen, etc.). Of course I'll get better later on in life (like next year LOL). What if I said I was getting these wheels for a straight trade for my great condition oem 18's with new tires? The guy is selling his car and would rather have my wheels that aren't bent.

Any info on getting wheels fixed from being bent would be awesome, thanks guys.

Those look real from what i can see. I would recommend seeing if outer lips are only bent and not the inside barrel. If so since its a 3 piece you can always contact a wheel shop (vrwheels or memoryfab) or works and buy new lips and replace them yourself.

Just my .02 cents

They CAN be fixed . If your in SoCal, I hve a shop that fixes the rash and repolished the entire lip for 35 each. And will also fix the bend for 45 each . Looks real to me, I'd get them. if matter comes to worse, id replace the outter lips and relip those babies.

Who's selling them to you? I want them lol

Look on the inside and see if the bolts are real. If they were fakes I don't think they would make actual 3 piece wheels.

If those are fakes....They're the best I've ever seen. There are something like 40 rivets with the little "W" on each one. Look closely at that and see if it's on there. That would be too laborious I would think for someone to fake.

iseechriss- That's good to know. I called 5 shops locally to see if they could refurbish a piece of my Meister's that got a little curb rash and every shop told me "they couldn't do anything about it". Glad to hear it is possible though.

Messinax, if you called that many shops and they told you Works couldn't be repaired I'd tend to believe them. They're not going to turn down a job that's as easy as removing a little curb rash. If iseechriss, doesn't own a set of Works and hasn't inquired about repairing them it's possible his information is wrong...not all rims are created equal.

Lol! Thanks guys, I knew a ^wheel *****^ or two would chime in.

Trying to get the deal finalized soon, wish me luck! I found out a real reputable shop is near me that fixes bends and repairs lips.
