Hi,
This is just a general camera question.
My camera (typical canon point and shoot) cant seem to focus on the tailights at night.
Any thing you know to do to get it to focus?

 

Try using a tripod, it might be the handshake that causes it to not focus. It'll be better too if it's not in a completely dark environment, because then your camera can focus on the body of the car, and then it would probably focus on the tail lights at the same time as well.

 

Try to change the focus setting to manual.
