fixed my mess up
hey order some overlays for my tail lights from the Blue Bat. they were the tgtr2 and i was putting them on the other day. i thought i could do them myself since its like tinting windows and i can do that just fine but i was wrong. I messed one side up big time, had wrinkled up and was no good instead of ordering more i went ahead and bought some VHT night shade and some dupont clear, sanded them down and painted them my self since ive worked in a body shop for 6 years half the time painting i figured i could do it easy. i think them came out real nice..i think at least to me lol... all i did was use wax paper and traced the cut outs from the good one left and made templates one for each side anyways here some pics of the finished product what do yall think.
i just found a DIY for the same way i did it i didnt realize there was one lol my bad https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...gtr-style.html
i actually painted them all black "3-5 coats" after i messed the overlay up and it came all blacked out i couldnt even see the lights on lol and got worried with the state laws and decided to take it off..i just used gasoline to take it off... came off with no problem just a lil elbow grease if anything ill sand it if i get to that point or just buy new ones lol
Oh my....
Thought you had done the GT-R thing leaving the actual lights unpainted, that shouldn't get you pulled over!
