seat belt arm riding on leather seat top

Am I the only schmuck with the plastic upper seat belt arm riding on the top of my leather seat back?
I am 5'8" and maybe have a strange upper body and seat position. I keep trying to shove the arm to it's most upward position to get the arm off the top of the seat to no avail.
Anyone know a way to lock it in the most up position?
Thx beforehand.

Geezer.....I ride my seat at the lowest position. There's plenty of clearance between the seat back top and belt standoff arm. You must be riding high. Once the standoff clicks in at it's highest position that's it. No further adjustment can be made. Drop that seat and adjust forward position and you should be good to go.

i'm same height and have same problem
hoping it does not wear a hole in the seat.
sure that someone will break them off getting into the back seat anyway.

have set the recline a little more than i like to keep my head off the roof, but the seatbelt holder still rubs

Re: seat belt arm riding on leather seat top

Im 5'9" and have the same problem. I tend to ride a little high just enough for me to see the front of my car. I already have an indention in my seat from the arm pressing on the seat. If the seat belt arm were on the seat then there wouldnt be a problem but then we would have mustang seats. I cant seem to think of many realistic solutions. anyone have any ideas?
