When my original tire, Michelin, need to be replaced. I did a lot of research before I bought and I tried out General Exclaim UHP. Holy crap, it made the ride more smooth, quiet, much more grip at high speeds and corners. After that got bald, I saw a deal with Kumho ASX and tried that. It was smooth, quiet and grippy, but didn't last as long as the General. My recent tire changed at 86k miles was back to the General. ASX lasted 25k miles, General lastest over 35k miles. I mostly driver normal, but often i do i some spirited driving.

Conti DW. Ran them for 6k and they still look brand new...

Would love to try a set of Michelin PSS but too expensive for me.

The answer to your question...Michelins! If you can't afford the PS2s there new Super Sports are also a great tire with a UTQG of 300. (wear rating) If you lower you G correctly with a total camber kit the S/S Michelin's will last no less than 30K miles and give you the traction our rides require....Gary
