03-07 Tail lights

Do the different tail lights 03-04, 05+ fit into and use the same plugs?

Replacing the years '03 thru '07 are plug and play only requiring simple hand tools. Search JDM tails, they're way cool...Gary

03-04 coupes do not have the relay for the trunk open button that the 06+ jdm oem tailights have on the outside of the light so you will have a dead button but that is what your remote is for.

Little silver button near reverse light, we do not have the relay on the 03 for this button but it does not affect anything without it.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on the forums that there was a simple mod that would allow the trunk release to work with 03-05 coupes.

So if your upgrading to the jdm tails from the 03-05 will you be able to use the trunk buttom because it has the relay built it or is it actually something in the trunk along with a relay in the lights working together?

I tried using the search function but i couldnt find an answer. I ordered the 06-07 taillights for my 03 coupe and I was wondering if the button for the trunk comes with theses lights? I ordered lights from an Infinti dealership and they came with no trunk button, all I have is a hole where they should be. I want to call the dealership but i want to know before I call them.

Do you really need that silver trunk button to work? You still have your remote and the release on the dash. I was so happy that my JDMs worked/looked cool I didn't care if the button worked or not....Gary
