price change on coupe splash guards??

I have just called around to a few dealerships, and all have said their updated pricing catalog now shows about a 50% price increase on the front and rear splash guards for the coupe. All of them have said the description reads "redesign" under the price change.

Anybody hear about this or have pictures of this new design if there even is any?

I was just at the dealership this morning looking at the 05 G35 coupes and it caught my attention that the rear splash guards extended (as it slopes down under the rear bumper) all the way to the back of the car. This seemed a bit different to me in design but then again I'm not sure. It's a possibility for the reason the price changed.

All the more reason to get the Aero Kit (front chin spoiler and splash guards). The OEM front chin spoiler is perfect IMHO.

Hey Gspotter... I am confused now... Because everyone I have spoken to claim the Aero Package is the rear spoiler. In Canada when I call the dealer and ask them for a Front Chin Spoiler they tell me they have no clue what I am talking about. Then insist I need to buy the S@I%y looking Stillen spoiler. Very Frustrating needless to say.

Does anyone have the part number for the spoiler?

As for the splash gaurds I got a Quote from Oakville Nissan for $178.00 Front and $178 for the rears.

I am not too sure if they extend up and around the rear bumper though. Burrcold if you happen to find a good deal I would love to get a pair. Perhaps we could do a group buy. ??

Aslo Everything35.com has the front chin spoilers and anothe member said he got it quickly and it wasn't that expensive. Personally I would rather find a local dealer.

oakville infiniti is where I got that quote from as well and thought they were out to lunch, however, I started calling around to all the other dealers and they all said the same thing "$89 for the front and the same for the rears...oh wait I'm looking at the new price list and they are $178 for each"

Needless to say I looked elsewhere. They are pretty much the same price from Grubbs and everythingG35.com however, when I priced the cheapest shipping from Grubbs it was $96!! everythingG35's shipping to Canada was only $19 so I purchased them there. Probably will do the same for the front lip. If you are interested in buying two front lips from them let me know we can split the shipping costs as they could probably put 2 in one box.

The Aero Kit and Aero Package are different things. According to Infiniti.com , the Aero Package includes the Rear Spoiler and Rear underbody air diffusers. I don't see the Aero Kit defined on there anymore, but according to gspotter, it is the chin spoiler and splash guards.

You can get the Aero Kit with or without the spoiler and it has nothing to do with the Aero Package.

The 4-piece Aero Kit (AK1) includes rear spoiler, front chin spoiler and splash guards. MSRP $1,200.

The 3-piece Aero Kit (AK2) includes the front chin spoiler and splash guards but NO rear spoiler. MSRP $630.

AK1 is not available with the Aero Package (meaning that if you order both the Aero Package and AK1, the AK1 option will override the Aero Package).
AK2 requires the aero package.

Still confused?

There's a pic of my G35 in the Gallery with the factory-installed front chin spoiler (part of the Aero Kit). Show it to your dealer.

Tell your dealer to look at Infiniti's website- the prices & descriptions of all the aero stuff are all there.

Maybe Canada has different options than the US, but I doubt it.

Canada has very different options than the US, the Premium Package is standard I think (all coupes come with Bose, dual zone climate control, etc.). There's no such thing as the Aero Package, the spoiler and underbody diffusers are standard on 6MT and part of the sport-tuned susp. package with 19" on 5AT.

Have your dealer look up the AK1 and AK2 packages (if they exist in Canada, that is) if you're interested in the front chin spoiler.

...or take advantage of the low currency conversion rate right now in the US and buy it from the States! You are going to pay an arm and a leg if you buy stuff from Canadian dealers right now. The US dollar is so low that even if you factor in shipping and everything you are going to be WELL under what the the Canadian dealer will be charging you.

I'm considering just driving across the border and buying the package in Detroit or Buffalo. Would save a ton of cash.

That's what I'm going to do. The Canadian dealers have no knowledge of the chin spoiler, so I'm going to run over the border to an American dealer and do the splash guards and spoiler. Get them installed, then there's nothing to declare at the border

That's a great idea! When are we going? How cool would that be? We all group up and head down to like Buffalo, NY, Detroit, MI, Watertown, NY or something... Would be alot of fun!

I smell a Canadian invasion and group buy!!

Anyone? I have 3 guys interested in it when the weather improves.

BADG35!

I'm in Vancouver so I'll be going to Washington state - NY is a little far

Supposedly the parts are all pre-painted as well.
