I wonder if any of you guys can help me out...

Basically, I'm dying to get the JDM tails so I can have the amber turn signal out back, but I want the 03-04 style rear tails.

Here is my reasoning:

I like the circle reverse light more (it's a matter of opinion, if you don't agree that's fine - this is my car, not yours)
I'm absolutely OCD about symmetry and having the silver button on the newer tails would drive my absolutely bonkers (and even worse since it wouldn't work unless I screwed around with wiring...).

So, does anyone know where to get a pair that's not insanely priced? At one point a year or two ago I did some serious searching for it found it on a Japanese website. I did the currency conversion and they came out to be like $900 for the set, which I know is WAY more than what the newer JDM tails usually cost...

I spoke with Tony at Riverside couple years ago when I got my G and he said he could order the '03-'05 tails for the price of the '06-'07s - only thing is you would need to front the money and he would order them from Japan since they don't sell as well as the updated tails. Wait it long, but still better than paying $900. Not sure if he'll still do this though, this was back in mid-2010.

 

If I recall, he no longer works there? Correct me if I'm wrong...

I'd also be curious to see any pictures of 03-05 JDM tails. I never knew there was a difference..

 

It's hard as hell to find a picture since the 06-07 tails always come up. But here is one...

 

+1 exactly the same as the 06-07 except circular reverse and now trunk open button.. Id ask Tony about that, he is at OC infiniti now. He is probably your best chance for a decent deal.

eh the reverse lights, the trunk button, as well as the fact that they're flush. the newer ones have like in-set circles for the acctual lights
