How long did your oem sport suspension last?

I have 72k miles on my 06 6MT and my shocks are now close to dead..
My car is not lowered at all but now I can feel every single freeway bump...
When I got the car at 34k miles, it had a really good ride and I actually felt like I was sitting in a luxury car.

Honestly, I am quite disappointed that they only 70k miles...
It should have a longer life on a stock car...
So my question is.. How long did your oem sport shocks last?

I am now looking to replace them with tokico hp as they are about 1/2 the cost of replacing oem sport shocks...

im at 60k and it still handles and feels amazing. From what Ive read at about 40-50k the factory suspension can start to show a bit of failure and shocks start wearing. the wear rate probably depends on how hard your suspension works on a daily basis

Shocks like other parts of our cars don't last forever if you're lowered or not. If you liked the OE ride those are the shocks you should buy, Tokicos are firm and won't feel the same, but still a great ride....Gary

At 45K I had at least one blown shock, the Tien S-techs didn't help any either. Your driving habits have a lot to do with it.

I guess the consensus is that they die at around 50-70k miles...
Thing is I don't even drive my car that hard... Never tracked / autocross and mostly freeway miles...
Quite depressing as my old 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse lasted 110k miles before I went with AGX...

$586 for oem (Actually a good price, I was quoted $620 at other places) vs. $325 for Tokico HP...
What do you guys think...? Is the $260 worth it?

If you need them, let me know, I might be able to sweeten the price a little, definitely not like the Tokico price, but I offer fairest prices I can

61k miles on mine w/ 18" wheel package, and a firm ride. It still handles great.
I changed the tires today and as soon as I rode away with the new tires, the comfort of the ride improved A LOT.
