What is the "Slip" light for?

The car's computer thinks you are having too much fun...
But seriously, the computer detected a loss of traction. This could be wheels spinning or sliding out. The car then reduces throttle and applies brakes to try to get the car under control. Go to Infiniti.com and click on "Vehicle Dynamic Control".
It is NOT the same thing as VLSD.

Thanks.

Thanks.

It's a very good idea to turn off the VDC in a controlled environment, so that you can get used to it.
If you really do want to turn it off, the button is by your left knee by the trunk switch. It's labaled "VDC off".

i don't think he meant if you drive a RWD car, and you turn your VDC off, your car will DEFINITELY spin out.. it's definitely more likely if you have it off, but either way, in adverse weather conditions, RWD is more likely to spin out..
either way, if you do want to turn your VDC off, take it easy at first.. and realize that pushing the button doesn't turn the VDC completely off, only a percentage.. if the car senses too extreme of a loss of traction, it will engage the VDC anyways..
