What can I use my OEM Nav screen for?

The previous owner of my car bought and installed the OEM navi into my 06 coupe. Only problem is he never finished so the DVD player and the wiring harness' arnt hooked up. Basically just the Screen is bolted on.

Is there anything I can use this screen for? Like viewing the regular car info (gas mileage etc.) or do I need the DVD player hooked up for this? From what I've read its very hard to retro fit the oem navi and isnt really worth it?

Am i better off just selling the whole system and getting the cubby hole?

thanks!

you could get an avelectronics module and use it to display an alternate source

Can I keep the screen to view to car info (tire pressure, gas mieage etc.) or does that all need the dvd player?

its not "dvd player" per se but rather an entire navigation unit. So yeah if you wanted the oem look you would need the factory nav unit.

its up to you. i would just go with the avelectronics unit and use an aftermarket source but i really want a clean oem look so i dont like double dins. its going to be your preference
