Paint my piping?!

I know, another should I do this or that thread...lol...Oh well, just got a bug in my system and I'm thinking about painting my intercooler piping for my greddy TT...May go the plastidip route...or some other DIY way...Just thinking about would the plasti dip coating help with some heat soak issues? Since it's a sort of rubber paint????

The Plasti-Dip will melt. It is not a hi-temp coating.

That will be much more of a mess than it is worth.

Yea, there are many options out there...but would the temp on the I/C piping get that hot to melt the plasti dip?

Paint it with 2K paint, it will stand heat no problem, and you can get any colour you like.

Powdercoat, paint, or polish it. This plastidip fad needs to die already.

Agreed but use high temp paint just to be safe.

Mine are powder coated black which is good if you want to go the stealthy route. The piping can get hot so I wouldn't consider plastic dip.

Obv powder coating is one of the best and most professional approaches...I'm wondering what my VHT wrinkle red paint would look in there...hmmmm...I use to have an 06 STi, so...May just be a Subaru thing with the wrinkle red...Just getting bored with ghetto polished piping...Worst case I'll get the VHT wrinkle black!
