When I press the brake pedal in my '06 coupe, the third brake lights should turn on along with the other two ring brake lights. The rear two brake lights definitely turn on but the third brake lights turns on when it wants to. Sometimes it does when I press the brake pedal and some times it doesn't. This is very weird. I'm wondering, do I need to replace the entire unit or it it just a bulb(s)?

 

Sounds like a wire is loose?

 

I think it may be the wiring gone bad. I believe I saw a DIY before on replacing the bulbs if you want to see if thats the problem.
