What are the decibel level of these with stock cats and headers?

I think TDX v2 claims 114db that i saw on my350z.
Anyone confirm this?

Also what is the decibel for the HKS?

I've been wanting to test the db level on my TDXv2 for awhile now. Tomorrow is my day off, so I'll test it and report back. I'll try to get a screenshot/pic of it as well. Stock cats and headers.

 

It will be interesting to find out the difference in db levels. I can tell you one thing with the HKS and OE cats it's quiet until you add HFCs or ART pipes. I'm very careful around town and shift at lower RPMs if there's a Sheriff in the area. Freeway speeds you can't hear the exhaust unless you mash the throttle....Gary

 

I am pretty sure MD will have a higger dB level than the HKS will but the significant factor is the lack of OEM cats.

Are you just looking for overall loudness? I think it's important to consider the tone and "loudness" at different rpm's

 

well loudness and tone..
im only going for hks or tdx v2 not looking for anything else.. I just want to know how much more difference tdx v2 have over the hks with art pipes/test pipes in dB.
I know everyone would say "Get tdx v2, best exhaust ever" but just how much dB is it? im just really curious

At what RPM's are you looking at the dB for? I have the Shockwave V2 TDX and ART pipes. I could use the iPhone app to check the dB from inside.

 

well when my tdx2 gets here in a few weeks and i get it on ill test it for u with the iphone if silencer doesnt get to it first. im willing to bet the tdx2 is louder though.

I never heard how tdx sounds like in person. I know hks is loud but want to know if tdx is louder because it does sound louder in videos that i've seen on YouTube but youtube video doesnt justice the sound.

3k, 5k, 7k RPM .

 

3k and 5k shouldn't be a problem, but hitting full boost by 7k on these streets might be, lol.
