07 G35 coupe

Hey guys I'm about to make a deal with a dealer on a 2007 Infiniti G35 coupe with navi and all the goodies for 19,800. The car has about 54,300 on it. I'm ready to see what this thing is all about. I am coming from a 2008 Nissan Maxima SL fully loaded. I crashed it before Christmas :-( anyways dose this car have a AUX port for me to connect my iPhone to so I can play my music? My maxima had a AUX port for the Bose. Thanks for your help guys.

No aux port. That price is a good deal.

Nice price, no aux BUT I bought an iPod adapter kit from Best Buy (normally $199 with installation but I got it for $99) and the iPod connector is located in the little compartment where the navigation screen is on G's equipped with it. You can't see anything when it's closed and the sound quality is the same as when the radio is on or a cd is played.

Yeah I want some cd quality sound from my iPhone when I play my music like I had on the 08 Max. Mind posting a pic on my thread and showing me how it looks? Opened and closed ? Just want to see so I have the right idea I'm a visual learner. Also I need to spend 200 at best buy to have this done? Jeus!!!

As for playing DVD's, are you wanting to watch them on your Navigation screen while you drive? If so, I rather be watching the road.

I am in St. Louis as well. Are you buying from Bommarito or somewhere else? If youre buying from Bommarito, please just stay away from their service department.

How was the installation by Best Buy? I've always been hesitant about their installation, but for $99, can't really go wrong.

Tried to work a deal out with bommarrito west county and they were a bunch of tools. So I found one elsewhere. I wanted to buy one from plaza motors but they didn't have what I was looking for

I've had good luck with the USA Spec PA15. It emulates an XM module and charges the iPod, plus supports adding an additional AUX port.

Well I think it's $199 with basic installation but I'm sure it's cheaper if you buy it without installation and do it yourself BUT since I always have a tendency to overtighten screws and break chet, I let the installer do his thing and if anything was damaged/scratched it would come out of his pocket. I did know the guy that works there though and he did an awesome job and took him no more than 45 minutes if that.

I know what you mean because basically it's like getting an oil change at Jiffy Lube. They just hire random kids off the skreets and "teach" them the "proper" way to do things but I knew the installer and his work is great. Let's just say that if he didn't exist then I would have probably tackled it myself...

I actually think the sound quality is better than cd's or the radio simply because with iTunes you can fine tune the music to your liking. You can adjust the bass, treble, choose when to start and/or stop the track, increase/decrease the max volume and blah blah blah. I use to burn cd's and that was a pain in the *** and I don't know if you can do the same with cd's (fine tuning) because I'm not that computer savvy and this comes from a guy that still uses I.E. (which I have noticed people have been flamed for but as long as I can open links and view the web along with my fix of ****, I have no use for other browsers... LoL)

The ONLY thing I have to complain about the setup is that when you go and try to skip a track using the steering wheel control, you have to hold it for almost 2 seconds instead of automatically going to the next song... and also that when you set it to "iPod" versus "AUX1", you can't actually scroll on the screen on your iPod to look for a song. You have to start from the beginning of your tracks and you're pretty much screwed if you're trying to play a song that's on the other side of the alphabet... but those are my only 2 complaints.
