Twin turbo adventure

Whats up guys? Been a member for a while but never really posted. So on to the good stuff- my car has been in its new home for about 3 months now-the shop! Ive got a built sfr short block and twin turbo kit with gt30s. All the fundamentals covered- deutchwerks 300lph pump, aam stage 1 fuel return, 800cc injectors(overkill), motordyne v2 3" exhaust and a bunch of other things. The head is stock. I picked up a haltech ecu but it didnt work with my flywheel- note to anyone looking to run haltech: call up to find out which flywheels its compatible with. I had the fidanza flywheel that come with the awful southbend stage 4 clutch. So this is my problem now- the clutch is rated at 650tq but wont hold more than 450hp at the wheels ( at only 10psi ). Im going to break in the motor with that clutch but swap it out with a legit one after the break in. The sfr kit is situated in a way that the motor has to be dropped to install the clutch....blows. Im running uprev now and I should get the car back this week. Ill see if I can get some dyno copies to post if everything works out. 65% of the time, it works everytime! Feel free to ask questions or if you want my opinion on going this route with a G.....$$$$$$
Hopefully I get it this week and Ill take some more pics
Ill keep you guys updated
I posted some pics of my car and the manifolds and gt30s

your gonna love the exhaust!!!! I have it and It is the badest sounding exhaust. I wish I wasn't running open dumps so i could still hear it after 15psi of boost. The clutch issue yea your def. gonna have to change it. With that being said why break the motor in till you get a new clutch and why did you let the clutch determin if you run the haltech if your gonna put a different clutch in anyway? I mean don't get me wrong up-rev is good, that's what I'm running and I'm making big pwr. You should just do the clutch now!!! You have to break a clutch in to... Do it now while your into it like you are and you will save money with the install and all...... It's been almost a year and I'm still working out bugs
GL tho I'm gonna keep checking in.... Listen I been tru hell and highwater w/mine so pm me if you need to ask me anything !!!!

you say the 800cc injectors are overkill ? im runing the greddy kit and the only thing holding it back is the fuel system. how much u spend on ur fuel setup ? i also need a good tune.. may bee looking into uprev... who did ur tune ?

Thanks guys, youre definitely right about the exhaust! I think I shed a tear the first time I heard it started up! Im running open dumps too so we'll be in the same boat but it was the sickest sounding turbo exhaust ive heard on a G/350z. Im in a catch 22 with this clutch situation. Im paying for it now skimping on the clutch- should have listened to that little guy everyone has that tells you to do the right thing..I listened to the little guy on the other shoulder that says go fat early at the bar Im more than likely going to go with the gilken twin disc, have a sit down with my shop as far as when we should install it.Breaking in the motor and then breaking in a clutch after is going to suck if I have to do it that way. Im going to hold onto the haltech for a bit just in case but Im pretty impressed with the power they said it made with the uprev, 450 at 9,10 psi. Im playing it by ear cause if its not one thing its another with this build. Always a headache going down this road so I hear you bro but worth it in a sick kind of way lol. Should know whats going to happen by the end of the week.

I probably could have ran some 600s and got away with it. The AAM stage 1 fuel return with the deatchwerks 300lph is working so far but it was only initially tuned for 450hp when the clutch started acting up. So we'll see once I throw a clutch in and go for more power if my setup is enough. I shopped around a lot trying to get a good price on the fuel return, I think I paid a little over 7 for it. The shop is on Long Island- Performance Motorsport.

twin turbo update

So I finally got her!! I took some quick pics ( iphone quality and its getting dark so you know theyll be awesome). The twin disc pedal feel isnt as bad as i thought it was going to be, it takes a little getting used to but if this was my DD I could definitely deal with it. The exhaust sounds amazing, anyone thinking about the motordyne v2 thumbs up from me. Ive got to get an alignment so Ill try and get some pics from under the car then. I raised the front half an inch and still scrape my driveway so Ive got to do the ol take it an angle, block traffic and go 1mph. Dont judge me on the body, it needs a paint job and I blew all my money on everything else. One of the pics you can kind of make out the air filter tucked behind the bumper.

I see your exhaust tips are close to the rear bumper, have you noticed any melting of the rear valance?

Id love to see a video with some exhaust sound clips. I can only imagine what a turbo VQ and a 3" MD exhaust sound like..
