Safe CCW location in a G35?

Hello all. I am wondering about the best/safest location to lock up a loaded handgun in a G35 coupe. [I have a CCW license, but there are still many places that post "no weapons".] In other vehicles, some folks go as far as to install a small safe that is cable-locked around a seat support frame or something "structural". I am of the opinion that the locking glove compartment is simply a temporary setback to a thief, not a true deterrent. Does anyone have any advice or experience to offer on good/safe/convenient ways to secure a pistol in the main cabin?

I am curious about this as well. I plan on getting my CCW license in a few months. I tested out the lock on the glove box a couple days ago to see how secure it felt. I'm pretty sure it would break easily.

I keep my glock in the compartment above The glove job. Quick access to blast anyone who tries to run up on me. POP POP

If you need to store it locked up - unloaded with a cable lock in the locked glove box is a good compromise. You could probably use a thin cable to actually attach the cable lock to some structural metal behind the glove box. Check next time you have to change your cabin air filter.

Other than that its a small gun safe - but the center console is tiny and I have only seen ones designed for SUV center consoles.

I slide mine between the the seat and center console. When I need to go into a federal building. My previous vehicle was a z71 tahoe and I had a key pad gun safe in the console. Since I don't use the glove box in the g. I thought about doing something with that space but I still want to keep the oem look. Maybe keeping the actual glove box door but remove the inner part and mount a gun safe in its place....

According to 2012 CA. laws we can't keep a gun in the cabin of our cars/trucks, only locked in the trunk. If Obummer had his way we couldn't own a gun of any size or shape....NRA life member here.
