Question '05 6MT with all-season tires?

I live in an area where the weather is always horrible, so all-seasons tires would be perfect for me. Do any of you know of any all season tires (with good treadlife) that will fit on the OEM 19" wheels of a 2005 6MT coupe?

Of all the tire companies we carry, no one makes an all season tire for the front 225 size. You could run a 245/35-19 front and 245/40-19 rear and use the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, but you lose a bit because your going with a wider tire not narrower. Makes the car a bit harder to plow thru debris like snow/ice and water. The majority of G owners are minus sizing and using dedicated snow tires.

Do you know if Michelin has plans to come out with a "225/45/18" Pilot A/S?

Since the new G's (and other cars) are making this size more popular, I'd assume they will add it to their lineup. If they do it will be in the spring. They still haven't covered the 03 and 04 18" sizes yet, so I wouldn't expect them to jump all over the 19's. Besides, tires in the stock 19" sizes are crazy expensive. So much so its almost pushed me away from buying 19" wheels.

Thanks a lot XCELR8 for your advice. I almost went for a 2004 because of how much the tires on the 2005 would cost me over the life of the car.
What type of tread life are people getting out of Pilot Sport A/S?

On average the Sport A/S will get you 35-40K. Smokey burnouts aside

Another tire to consider, is the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S. It is actually rated better than Michel Pilot Sport A/S. Cheaper too. Only reason I didn't get it, is because the front tire size (245/40-18) was on national back order, so I got the Pilot A/S instead.

Nobody had a 225/45-18, so I didn't even sweat it.

Nevermind, forget what I said... It looks like the Pirellis don't come in 245/35-19. However, Toyo Proxy 4 does come in that size. That is a very good UltraHighPerformance All Season as well. This tire is also cheaper than the Michelins. I'm running these on my wife's TL.
